yeah, songwriting was really amazing and perfectly holds up to this day, this coming together of four creative and genius minds is just unparalleled, they stacked up a goat discog within seven years, like how?

Constantly inspired, dominated the 60s with so many classics.

All their work pre-Rubber Soul is hugely overrated. Theyre fun catchy tunes but thats it.

But they still got some undeniable classics that were much more boundary pushing and edgy like Sgt Peppers, White Album, Abbey Road, and Revolver.

I still consider them a top 10 band OAT because of that

  • Jan 28, 2020

    They’re all time greats

But in the end they’re generations (over half a century now) removed from your time so there’s no prob with not getting them or liking them it’s just not for you

for their time their early works were absolutely brilliant though, don't forget that The Beatles helped massively shaping the entire idea of an album as a coherent unit in general, they grew into a time where pop albums have largely been compilations of catchy tunes as you said, they mastered that and went on to shape history
