  • On the real Im mostly just a big fan of the wordplay, other than that I ain’t into all that other s***, know I mean? I fw that basic, straight to the point, talkin real s*** bars. Just straight up bars, nothing all complicated or nun. Sum like Rick Ross, Birdman, Troy Ave, Pusha T. Just straight rappin on some real spill

    their just rapping fast, their not even saying anything deep dummy

    Lyrical miracle is garbage cause it's mostly devoid of any meaning.

  • Aug 9, 2020

    all that matters is the flow and writing style. don’t care how much it rhymes.

    this is the example for lyrical miracle?

    why even bother to make this thread then

  • I prefer a balance.

    The greats were able to balance both at different points in their careers.

    tbh this

    im not trying to listen to a rapper rap like super f***ing fast about nothing but at the same time im not trying to hear someone barely say any words at all if its a rap song

    Yeah the lyrical miracle rap was almost a direct response to mumble rap and both are dying out due to being overrated by some and ridiculed by others.
    Ps: fuxk da mods who shadow banned you

    I love lyrical rap but it’s not super easy to just box all that into lyrical miracle stuff. Like I enjoy the straightforward s*** from Gibbs & Freddie but I’m down for the more esoteric Billy Woods or Mach Hommy type stuff. I think they’re all lyrical but of different ilks. I wouldn’t say lyricism is just about the big words and fast raps that it’s often associated with lyrical miracle rappers

    Yeah I know what you mean I was just rushin to make the thread lmaoo

    Aite this a better example:

    I’m pretty sure most would prefer Sing About Me because you know it tells a story, the way he raps like the way he puts similes and all that extra “artistic” vibe to it, or I don’t even know how to explain it but I’m sure you get what I mean, being an extra “lyricist” I guess idk (shits still hard and a classic)

    But I personally prefer Dying of Thirst, cuz he just straight rappin, speaking real s***, not playing around with the words too much, just straight up speaking real s***

    @TIIMMY_BURNER thoughts??

    Lupe the best of both worlds. Can deliver a dope story while making it seem effortless
