I like both, it depends on the rappers and how well they do it. That might sound like a cop out but it's the truth, I listen to Pusha and Lupe

Ps: you good? Weird seeing you without a dope avi hope you're trolling and not signaling distress or something

IDK how they heard this and thought it was good.

I prefer rappers who express themselves well. Whatever rhyme scheme they use to do it doesn't really matter. Going multi heavy can be a crutch the same way an incredible baritone delivery like Ross' is. NAV would make a Ross verse sound mediocre as hell. You've got to play to your strengths.

This a great example of high level rhymin that's not "lyrical miracle" but definitely is not straight to the point ass s***.

It's just the younger zoomers at this point who started listening to rap in 2018 that still say this s***

  • the issue with lyrical miracle bars is that they care more about sounding complex and stuffing words together than they do about saying anything. simple bars can sometimes say more than complex ones but that also doesnt mean simple ones are always universally better. people who are lyrical topically and mix the two tend to the best imo; Andre 3k, Lupe, Blu, Billy Woods are some examples off the top of my head

The irony is this is a lyrical miracle bar masked as an anti-lyrical miracle bar

That’s why Hov is the GOAT

Yea. Aesop Rocky greatest rapper of all time.

  • Aug 9, 2020

i lean towards straight to the point type bars but i don't care how abstract or "lyrical miracle" bars are as long as they can effectively convey the message or feeling that you're trying to get across

    A balance of both.

Rappers who are skilled in multisyllabic and internal rhyming doesn't necessarily translate to good songwriting or ability to execute ideas and concepts. And rappers who are more interested in aesthetic/melodic atmosphere doesn't mean they don't use multis or internals.
