Drake keeping KTT alive one thread at a time

Kendrick threads doing much bigger numbers these days, unfortunately. It's truly KTT again (KendrickToThe)

Ig you dont understand what subjective means

    Nigga.

The reason that sales don’t equal quality is because if they DID, it would mean that all the highest selling music is the best music, therefore making music OBJECTIVE.

The reason sales don’t equate to quality is BECAUSE music is SUBJECTIVE

Drake will be fine. It’s not like
The millions of people who loved Drake before are suddenly gonna stop listening to him now and the same people who didn’t f*** with him before have gotten all the justification they’ve needed for why they don’t. So nothing has really changed within that dynamic. However, it is undeniable that his legacy, strictly within a hip hop context, has been stained and it will be interesting to see what affect that has, if any, on how he approaches his music going forward.

Where are your statistics showing that Drake is a legacy act vs. everyone else. Is Kendrick also a legacy act? Weeknd? If not, what specific metrics put them in the non-legacy category?

But by literal definition art is subjective so...

    COD might be someones GOTY
Highest grossing film might be someone's FOTY

I don’t think Art is subjective personally. I do think that Taste is though.

But that’s a whole other conversation

the "strictly within hiphop context" for drake has some dents even drake mentioned this in his rap radar interview

first it was ghostwriting then it was pusha t beef then kendrick beef.

if i'm being honest any unbiased person can't deny his prowess with the pen, flows and beef over the course of his career

Drake’s sales have been a consistent and steady decline ever since Views, that’s a main reason why he can start entering legacy act status.

His commercial peak was 6-8 years ago, and he’s shown no signs of getting anywhere back to that point

The same can be argued for The Weeknd.

This doesn’t mean their overall catalogs stop getting streamed though

Drake got SZA and sang R&B and rapped about months of the year

Dot got SZA and gave us a radio hit and another classic rap Kendrick track

I can’t take these conversations seriously man
