Kells discog s***ting on D’Angelo let’s be real

  • Maybe not yet but when it’s all said and done in 15/20 years she for sure will be mentioned alongside them

  • Mar 31

Her music for the past ~10 years has been a bit too manufactured for my taste.

  • Sure why not if that’s how you feel. I’m all about respecting the legends of the past but I’m not a fan of acting like they’re untouchable with 10/10 discographies or weren’t without their own flaws

  • Impactful albums and eras that tend to mark shifts in the music industry and culture? Yeah. I wouldn't say her music is on the level of their music, but it's very hard to deny that she has a similar impact as them. Performance wise she's definitely right up there with them.

  • BrandonM

I'm saying I think r. Kelly is next after those ppl mentioned in the op and that she is below him, so I guess she is close to them but not quite.

Man shut the f*** up lmao

Maybe if you're on the mentally deficient side I can see how someone might come to this sort of conclusion. But even that might be a stretch.

  • The brains of R Kelly stans really need to be examined. There really is something mentally wrong with y'all lmao

Niggas putting that bozo on the same level of artistry as f***in Michael Jackson, Prince, Stevie Wonder, and David Bowie it's gotta be crack, meth, and d*** y'all smoking regularly.

You in your feelings about how terrible r Kelly is as a person and that’s totally fine but you can not deny his discography and talent + his contributions to hip hop/r&b/pop and music as a whole

Or...it can just simply be that R Kelly has not released anything on the level of Brown Sugar, Voodoo, or The Black Messiah...

Great & classic albums but his discog is too thin and doesn’t have the hits in comparison to kells. D’Angelo definitely has more depth in his writing I’ll give him that

We talking quality of whole albums nigga. Not f***in hit songs. Gimme one full R Kelly album that is on the same level or better than Brown Sugar, Voodoo, or Black Messiah.

  • saint dot edumist

you just sat here and told me “R Kelly wrote and produced hits for other artists” like Bowie didn’t, and then you had the nerve to scoff at the idea afterwards when you’re clearly not even familiar with his music

people like you are genuine scumbags

god this s*** irks me so f***ing much

why do people feel the need to speak on artists’ THAT THEY DO NOT LISTEN TO

They both was experimenting with Country sounds in their own ways, but that don't make it a Country album.

Plus they used the same marketing process.
