You believe in a powerful force out there but not old testament God? He exists but among the assortment
I don’t believe in powerful force
I’m just saying who knows what’s out there
Whether or not it exists is irrelevant to my day-to-day.
i think all this humanity s*** too perfect to chalk it up solely to science as we currently understand it
don’t necessarily believe in god, but somethin goin on
Believing in a god provides me no answers nor inspirations to problems or possibilities in my material world

“Humanity is too perfect” we’ve literally destroyed this planet in 2 centuries (a blink of an eye)
i believe a god made everything but doesn't interfere with his creations
i also believe that we aren't a direct creation of god, something created something, that something exploded and created materials formed as stars, blah blah blah space s*** happened and over a span of trillions of years we just evolved here rn. We're the least of God's problems
God not interacting with their creation is the only way I can justify why bad things happen to good people
yes
most people I know who I asked this question were like "hmm I don't believe in god, but I believe in higher power"
damn bro there is a shorter word for "higher power"
who said it has the be the old beardy dude
im agnostic
but the notion that the universe emerged out of a purely random process that existed in a vacuum is incoherent IMO
even a random process requires some level of design dictating its parameters

perfect in the sense of the complexity and harmoniousness of biology =/= perfect in the utilitarian sense
not that I think the former argument is a particularly great justification for god
Believing in a god provides me no answers nor inspirations to problems or possibilities in my material world
also the issue is that people have difficulty finding meaning in the material world
people ask metaphysical questions because they arent sure why any of this material stuff matters if we're all going to die, the universe is going to reach heat death etc.

Humanity isn’t biologically harmonious. Once again, exploiting the natural world and destroying it in two centuries is something happening right now.
Also social complexity isn’t nearly enough of a justification for the existence of a god. Altruist social behavior has precedence in mammals going back millions of years (danger calls, pack hunting, the concept of “play,” group upbringing, etc)

im not talking about social complexity or harmony with nature lol
im talking about the complexity of the human body itself, or any biological entity for that matter
and again i didnt say i thought it was a good argument so youre preaching to the choir here
I believe there’s a God above me, i’m just the God of everything else

I don’t think the existence of life or complex life has any sort of weight in the argument of god
The universe has no obligation to make sense to us, and if we want to make sense of a localized phenomenon such as that of life using god, we might as well apply that to the other abstract and illogical phenomena of the universe, like black holes, relativity, and quantum mechanics

my guy I said twice already you're preaching to the choir here, I was just pointing out that you misunderstood that persons post
the only egregious post you made, to me, was the first one
