These effects did not exist among women, a finding consistent with the hypothesis that androgens mediate winner and loser effects.
glad that science can prove that men are more emotional than women
You're missing the point. While it’s true that the winner and loser effects are mediated by androgens like testosterone, which are more prominent in men, it’s not about being “more emotional.” It’s about how biological mechanisms like testosterone impact competitive behavior. If you’re dismissing solid research because it focuses on men, you’re showing a lack of understanding. The findings are relevant and have real implications for understanding human behavior and motivation (not to mention the fact that this forum is 90% men)
How are they measuring/defining "smarter, more confident, and bolder"
Those are extremely broad and subjective terms, not to mention mentalist af
It's probably true to an extent but language matters too much and those come off as buzz-words without methods to back it all up
It's common sense (imo) that success compounds. However I dislike the term gamification and connotations that surround it. A life is not something to be gamed, rather delighted in.
