TheoryI was with my last girlfriend for 12 years, engaged and had a house together, started dating when we were 13. Gave up my dreams for her, bought her a car when she needed it; then another when she needed it again. Took her everywhere she wanted to go. Trust me, I know the feeling
However, a year later and I’m doing fine. She’s not, she calls me crying and begging me to get back with her, and because I care about her that f***s me up because I’ve always wanted to make her happy but after the events of the last year I’ve discovered I’ve gotta worry about myself first and foremost.

that's where the capacity to forgive comes into place for yourself and you don't have to forgive that person also but usually 9 times outta 10 people don't know no better it's all they know and the world will sort them out in the end.
