Those are just little memes though

I'm talking about when you go to a third world country and there are entire wars based on racial supremacy

And there are notorious races who are all considered cunning and prude by other races

This s*** is so much deeper than the melting pot in the US

Does our biology determine racial supremacy?

Do you think there are any other reasons for war beside our dna? You wouldn’t think it had to do with any other political issues or general way of life?

race in terms of a tangible, biological thing that you can actually prove with science ? it’s not real.

in terms of society? it’s very real. but only cause society has put such a heavy importance on it that it can no longer be ignored or forgotten.

    a social construct.

But they’re still human. Having biological differences literally will happen from you and both of your parents but that doesnt make you a different race.

everyone is human lol. that's not what im disputing. I'm guess I should've went into by saying genetics is what separates us biologically. from parents and ancestors. basically what you said

Race itself makes no sense. There exists more genetic variance within the black 'race', than between black and other 'races'. So if the variance within is greater than that between, yet you still get classified as the same 'race' you gotta realize something isn't adding up. Race is clearly not decided by genetic variance in that case, so what is it then? Just phenotype. That's all it is.

It's stupid because all humans can have offspring with one another. We share the same ancestors. Humans adapted to survive in their different environments yes, but that's just phenotypical differences. Phenotypical differences can be controlled by as little as 2 genes. Only about .01% of your genes is dedicated to your physical appearance. There is genetic variance, but the sequence of the entire human genome is the same among all 'races'. Meaning, we're the same race.

The only value race has is socially and politically, which is exactly what it's a tool for.

it's not a belief it's simply not real and it's not "a few scientists" that think that 100% of serious scientists will say the same

there can be more genetic differences between two members of the same ethnicity than between two persons with different skin colors

as a matter of fact there is more genetic diversity between africans than between ALL humans outside of africa, and there's one ethnicity in southern africa that shares more DNA with eurasians than with other africans

I can't even see the point if this debate tbh

If an entire race has a tendency to act a certain way, or are driven towards a certain mode of thinking, then call it whatever you want...race is still real

Race "exists" in the sense that it has real life consequences and affects society but it doesn't exist in the same sense as something such as 'atoms' exist.

Also this debate exists because some people believe that race determines a particular groups intelligence, behavior, etc

Literally look at another person's skin tone and facial features :

The human race shares most of the same genes. Alleles on these genes is what determines our appearance, but they don't indicate that we do not share the same genetics. A black and white person can share some of the same alleles but one may be dominate over the other. Dark skin (and African genes in general) is usually the dominate allele so, that why when a black and white person have a child, the baby usually comes out looking black.

It is probably more complicated than that but this is the simplified version of genetics.

  • racism come before race. the desire to subjugate another person for personal gain is the original issue. to justify such exploitation, racial categories were created and then evolved and blurred and changed as needed to keep up the hierarchy created
