No but it’s too universally agreed upon and ingrained into almost every modern society for us to just say it doesn’t exist anymore
Universally agreed on within human society. That’s the whole point of what we’re saying. It only applies to our social behavior

I agree with y’all I’m just saying we could talk about this all day but inless something happened socially that made acknowledging race no longer a viable tool for power it’s not going anywhere
Besides the human brain has a tendency to categorize information. We’re kinda doomed to always identify others by our differences and similarities physically
It's definitely a social constuct but that doesn't mean it's not as real as anything else
Ok i see you but i know you dont have all those characters on your keyboard doe
Yeah i didnt type all that
Race doesn’t exist but there are specific biological factors that only affect people of certain groups
Are phenotypes real? What about DNA? In fact I don’t even think the whole field of biology is real
I agree with you OP but unfortunately if enough people believe something is real it is effectively real
But you’re choosing what makes someone a different race. We’re still the same species but there’s no rules to race it’s something we created as a society
That’s kinda how I look at it. We as a species are human. But their are different categories. Just like every other animal on the planet. There are variations of them all but still considered the same species.
Race is defined by skin color, right?
Ppl of certain skin tones may or may not share genetic pools i.e. groups of people restricted geologically that have mated with each other for long periods of time
You can't necessarily tell which genetic background someone comes from based on skin tone due to modern interbreeding of populations that traditionally are separate
That being said, many people today are still born from conserved population pools that evolved differently than other pools
In the sense that someone might come from a genetically distinct background yea there are races. But you can't tell which genetic pool they're from or what it means just by looking at someone
Yep
Just like how people associate darkness with evil and light with purity
We live in a f***ed up world bruh, racist everywhere in this world
White people still racist where im from (texas)
Race doesn’t exist but there are specific biological factors that only affect people of certain groups
Almost like they’re different races or something wow
Race classification have no basis in biology it's a social construct remeber wathcing a video in my first year bio class 2 years ago about someone being from vietnam having more similarity in their genetics than someone in europe than someone in china, not by a lot, even look back when irish came to america they werent considered white. Differing race based on skin colour is dumb and they only reason its done cuz its an easy difference to notice between people since the gene show phenotypical difference rather than genes people that dont show any surface level changes.
race shouldn't be a thing, or matter. alot of people are racist, even if they aren't aware in their subconscious. if you are White, you will never understand
It's definitely a social constuct but that doesn't mean it's not as real as anything else
life isn’t even real
