As i’ve gotten older i’ve realized how silly it is to hold entertainment to that standard but i think its f***ed up people sleep on how influential rap can be because there are much bigger socioeconomic causes to what we could say are symptoms of negative rap influence but f*** it i guess lol
Lmaoo NBA Youngboy almost just f***ed up Ja Morant career and they probably never even had a conversation 😭
All depends on if the musics good or not
Read it as “do you care if an artist is autistic or not”
No I’m an adult
there's no way her controversy had this much of an impact though
I feel like that was here today gone tomorrow tbh
But idk how that affected her or anything
Just from a very casual fan looking it
ye her music was actually enjoyable until a certain point
cosign is silly though kanye cosigned dave blunts who gaf
Dave blunts goated
Depends what their subject matter and supposed strengths are
Gotta treat musicians like WWE wrestlers at this point
the same marketing and character building etc goes into a lot of the acts
Probably have some of the same writers, stylists, marketers etc. (total guess and assumption but it feels right to say off vibes)
Yes, you can't fake the funk
I appreciate Drake because he's authentically petty and sensitive in spite of how reckless he talks on wax
I don't really care. I just listen to music and don't get into parasocial relationships with artists
Rick Ross “not annoying”
What’s he done
I appreciate Drake because he's authentically petty and sensitive in spite of how reckless he talks on wax
That’s genuinely the realest thing about him
Nobody does that better

Ppl constantly use the “b-b-but movies” like Arnold is telling the audience as the terminator that they are b**** ass niggas and name dropping REAL names of dead people he shot and pointing out real locations
Lotta rap fans full of s*** tbh
Not rly long as they not corny about it

I think there’s a way to be authentically making music that’s a “performance” or “telling a story” without it being a “LARP” or cosplay or whatever. I’m thinking of old country artists singing from the perspective of protagonists that reflect certain themes or stories that ~are~ authentic to the artist without being their life story, or rappers who are painting a picture of a certain life or things that they’ve seen to get at a larger point or emotion that is authentic to their perspective even if it’s not their real life . I don’t listen to enough Lizzo to comment on this instance specifically, but I suspect if she was rapping about buying strippers for her dancers I’d like the music more lol
Yes
I’ll still fw their music if they arent but I def value artist who seem authentic more
think her situation has more to do with her being more of a pop commodity than being inauthentic directly
It's cool if they are but also impressive if they arent but can still sell it. It's a performance and they are basically actors.
