I fix my car a lot, the most difficult thing I did was rear wheel bearings on a Subaru legacy.

    That was not easy

However doing front wheel bearings on a Mercedes was easy

You're right these skills are being completely lost from the average person especially younger people

Need to replace ball joints and tie rods soon

My 280zx is in a billion pieces rn

Nah, Im just waiting to come up with $600 to get my gas tank reconditioned since Im tired of f***ing with it. It runs, so I'm at the point of just working on cosmetic things so the interior bits are all out of the car.

This old man that's the landlord's husband can fix anything

Man just replaced the whole kitchen floor

Man ripped out the sink, removed old piping and repaired the wall, then installed new sink

Man replaced entire replaced bathtub plumbing

Crazy part is he is an electrician by trade

My old landlord got the cheapest contractor possible to fix the piping to the upstairs showers

They didn't use the proper grade of glue/piping and the pipes fell apart

Believe it or not home plumbing is quite easy. The most important part is just getting your proper grade so it’ll flow properly.

I feel like these skills are getting lost a little bit because my generation really doesn’t care about knowing that stuff or doesn’t care for just f***ing around. I love to f*** around. For example I f***ed around and built my drill brush. Probably could have bought one but it was fun to make just took some thinking

    eh not quite

When doing plumbing you have to really measure everything 2-3x before committing to make sure it'll fit/work correctly. It's really time consuming and you have to have access to certain tools. I wouldn't trust myself to do plumbing or major electrical work. Trying to get into networking after college so I'll probably learn cabling at some point.

I fix all my own stuff but I probably won't do plumbing beyond the basics. I did all the work on my previous car by following YouTube.

Mod an S10 if you're looking for something cheap with cheap parts.

OG9-3 Saab's are a good call as well, parts are dirt cheap and they don't have the same electrical issues that were rampant in the NG9-3.

Ecotecs are stupid underrated if you're looking for a cheap 4cyl to turbo. There are some wild Saturn's and cobalts out there. If you get an SL2 or SL1 they are stupid light.

I believe it. New cars are insanely expensive, and dealerships try to make them seem cheap by making the loan 10000 months.

I paid cash for my car, but I was tired of a chunk of my monthly budget always going towards it.

From experience I can say it’s pretty easy if you have an idea of what you’re doing, what you’re using and why you’re doing it. Not saying I could engineer a system but basic home owner plumbing isn’t too difficult at all

Another chemical useful for combating rust is phosphoric acid, it's a rust converter however the shipyard does not use it at all for some reason

Sounds like u be dissolving people in hydroflouric acid
