I probably already posted in here but WLR is a f***ing generational hip hop classic. It will go down as a very important album.
The hate from people "I WISH x leak was on there, album would have been so much better!!!" is so face-palm bro
That's actually one of the things that makes Red so great, the fact that people were expecting something and Carti did a total 180 on those expectations. Pure art move.

Yeah the album doesn't have that many (if any) skips on there to me. I had favorites when it dropped but once I digested the whole album I love all the tracks in their own ways now.

yes. not only is the sound a step forward but I feel like this is him actually trying to write lyrics (the bar is on the floor, I know.) I feel like this is his best album. die lit is still good though. I can appreciate both.

3 months later and I'm still putting Red ahead of Yeezus, GKMC, TPAB, Barter 6, Jeffery, DS2, DL and all my other fav hip hop albums of the past 10 years.
It's on par with Blonde for me.

Mar 8, 2021Listened to wlr again and it's good, but Die Lit is still better. Wlr is more consistent for me in that there's less skips, but the highs really don't come close to Flatbed, Mileage, Right Now, etc
Wlr is nice but it ain't some artistic paradigm shift lol
