Very hard to compare since both are great in their own ways. Die Lit was him perfecting a style while dipping his toes into some new vibes. Wlr was him saying f*** you to the industry and hopping out of the boxes he had been placed in. Looking at this evolution tho this debate will be pointless in the future cause the next project will ecplise both albums.

die lit has always been too bloated with some good high points, it’s just when a lot of people got into carti/carti really blew up so they hold it in higher esteem than it actually should be

if u were actually there for the S/T era or before and like Die Lit more I don’t understand u at all

  • Sep 8, 2022

Why does one have to better than the other? I love them both for different reasons cause they give you two sides of Carti

  • Sep 8, 2022

Die Lit is my favorite project by him

Been a fan since the awful days
I remember a S/T being pretty good but not mind blowing to me. Die lit comes along and I fall in love with it instantly. WLR comes a long and I appreciate it for subverting expectations (instead of being die lit 2.0)

Now, I don’t find myself listening to WLR that much and only listen to a few tracks from die lit. My love for s/t has increased a lot more. I think it’s aging well

I respect this, I also understand liking S/T and Die Lit more than WLR, WLR is just the best for me. Die Lit to me is just like a more refined sound but less exciting album overall than S/T, which I think is a flawless album besides lookin. the highs on Die Lit are undeniable though, and I still think it’s a great album
