  • Did she not get the memo Trump won, she doesn’t have to say this anymore for marketing?

I seen this the other day and was kinda put off by it, I been a fan of doechii for a lil while now. I saw an explanation that gave that answer more context. Doechii is a bi/queer woman. She’s is frequently in lgbtq spaces, how many of us can honestly say if we dating someone like that, and has motion for themselves, and she ask you to pull up to the gay club to support her set?

If I've pulled up to the gay club to see Mykki Blanco (who I don't know) several times it would be no problem to pull up for the bi girl I was seeing

  • Now I don't get the line about a man being in her boyfriend's DMs on Denial is a River

Thats a nuanced situation with many other factors that determine which way that would go but “you’re a straight man = red flag” isn’t the solution to that situation lmaoo and again anything in this direction is rich from someone who one of their biggest songs is about her nigga being “Down Low” lmaooo

thats more on being insecure. Im sure theres plenty of straight dudes that would go to gay clubs

You going to a gay club every weekend to support your shorty? I been to a gay club once. One of my coworkers was having a bday party n wanted us to pull up to the club. Didn’t know she’d choose a gay club, and lemme say gay clubs can be fun but them boys is aggressive. It’s like it’s still the 90s in there, the way people be dancing on each other. This was about 7-8 years ago might’ve changed by now.

I think I’m secure with myself, but I ain’t really tryna casually be around it on a regular basis. They also don’t say the other side of it, because them gay niggas can be just as toxic. They gonna start thinking you’re trade, n they will shoot their shot.

I can admit I’d rather not be surrounded by that frequently. I love hoes too much.

Not necessarily about “caring” about it but notice how you immediately gotta put out these type of “you a BAN if you care about this” strawmans to immediately sidestep any a***ysis/antagonistic opinion towards why she’s speaking like this lol

Do “we” have to care about it for her rhetoric to influence our daughters/sisters/younger black girls? Lol the way s*** has gone since like 2016 and online discourse related to these topics is literally why she’s speaking like this. “Red flag” “straight man” lmaoo they just called niggas chauvinistic pigs 2005 and prior for what shes trying to express, they didn’t use these “im trying to make the most charismatic tik tok possible” tiktok speak extremes.

So much of this type of rhetoric is just regurgitating other people’s opinions to then trickle down and influence the next generation of black women and thats the real problem.

Also rich coming from someone who got a song about being duped by a DL nigga but whatever, again, this aint even about her personal preference

We are so far cooked lol. Black family structure - 0 CIA - 40 selm

Same reason niggas on here were running around pretending to be Saweetie and City Girls stans because they had “personality” and made fun music

  • Faith

As a straight man i do not care

    her music still fire

if you care about this you a

This doesn't affect my enjoyment or non-enjoyment of her music at all

    Atlanta was that

we at a point where we almost need something beyond where he took it. For example he wouldn’t parody the very situation this thread about (make a song clowning your bf for being down low then say its a red flag to approach her as a straight man lmao) and understandably so to an extent. But he definitely was the continuation

Oh this oughta be a fun one

i think the biggest concern for me would be going to a club itself, cause i hate that s***. But i wouldn't have a problem going to a gay club, im super secure with that
