How you and your contempt perceive him is not a universal view.

Kendrick payed tribute to his rapping on a song on his last album. That doesn’t mean he’s trying to cosplay as Pac when it comes to his career approach.

The one who actually disrespected Pac and disrespected the entire west coast is Drake and his s***ty A.I track that will not be treated kindly with time

I really like kendrick. I feel the contempt I have is mostly for his hardcore base similar to the swifties who won't accept any sort of criticism directed his way.

    They don't

Because Kendrick really got multiple styles that he's influenced from.

It's just Pac's messaging and what he stood for influenced him the most.

Don't get it twisted, Pac has a huge influence on Dot rapping wise, but he learned a lot of styles from Wayne, Em, and Jay.

if i said Sremmlife 2 >>> TPAB y'all would go crazy cause y'all won't accept any narrative that differs from that a track in the vein of "How Much A Dollar Cost" contains the secrets of the universe.

    Pretty childish imo

No one is saying you can’t criticize him or his music. This is all subjective.

But just like anything that is challenged, you viewpoint might be challenged as well by someone who disagrees. And there’s nothing wrong with either. You’re free to express what opinion you have, and others are free to express themselves disagreeing with that opinion.

I hated that s***. But more so because I just don’t like A.I technology for the most part (exceptions provided of course) and I also think it was distasteful to use someone’s dead likeness for a diss track.

Pac was a “hypocrite” too I guess that’s more cosplay from Kendrick

i mean, (not you specifically) a lot of the people who make that argument can also be caught saying "its all fair in a rap beef"

whether or not you like ai aside, its a creative way to talk down on kendrick from his idols, but obviously the AI is going to be polarizing

Everybody is a hypocrite. Listen 95% of rap is pseudo-intellectualism.

If all these conscious rappers were really about that life they would be anti-capitalist, anti-consumerist, anti-zionist etc.. and perform for the love of the game instead of charging to perform. Hip-Hop artists are more full of sh*t than your average men's sh*t house.

The first point is valid tbh. if Kenny can taunt Drake and his OVO affiliates as s***offenders, I suppose Drake can also be disrespectful and use Pacs likeness to get under Kenny’s skin.

For me, it was moreso just using the dead persons likeness for something that had no say in because they’re dead. If Kendrick had turned around and done some sort of A.I Aaliyah to get under his skin, that would’ve bothered me a lot as well.

Kendrick in a AI filter of Aaliyah vocals would've sound horrible

Them vocals would've sound dry af

Yeah thats a fair argument against it for sure, guess its really personal opinion

It would be wild if Kendrick was to get an AI filter of Dennis lmfaoooo

Drakes impression of Pac definitely wasn’t anything to write home about either though

You can be conscious and put out music with substance.. and also want to make a living from music. It’s not that foreign of a concept. There are many of those rappers that do check off some of your boxes, maybe not all so what, Why can’t they get paid too? When the executives are making billions selling the “culture” back to you?

He's had that hiphop messiah label on him since gkmc and last time I checked the people aren't tired of him so there u go

    I feel u

There’s plenty of people who already feel like he’s not even good at making music at all lmaooo

But yeah I don’t think it will do much damage to his legacy, but I do think there will be a lot of disrespect in the future. But all legends get disrespected when it’s all said and done

There’s never been an undisputed goat in music
