I think there are plenty of things you can critique Kendrick for but the whole “hip hop Messiah” narrative is horseshit

I want a truly conscious rapper to emerge within the culture who performs free of charge, releases music for free, predominantly stands for the working class, calls out the elites etc. If someone had the ambition and balls to do that then the Lupe's and Kendrick's of this world would look like overgrown toddlers in comparison.
