Older I get the more I think stanning is cringe.

But yeah, I think the older you get, the more you'll refine your taste. Bound to happen as you have more and more life experience. You'll find your niches. Things that cater to smaller niches tend to feel more personal and resonate harder than things that are made to cast the widest net possible.

With that being said, I don't dislike mainstream stuff at all. It just makes up a smaller % of what I listen to as I age

I think the film a***ogy is a good one bc yeah, the more you get into movies and watch a wide variety, the less you'll care about the newest marvel movie. Doesn't mean you hate those movies tho
