I replayed FF7 all the way through a few years ago and it was still awesome. Same with KOTOR. A lot of old games I loved have aged like ass though and are rough to play so I'll just take the fun memories lol

depends on the game. played the first silent hill for like an hour before i had to put it down because of the s***ty controls. Really liked the 2nd and 3rd one tho. Kotor games has some of the worst gameplay i've ever played from an rpg but i really like the story. JSRF and klonoa are great games tho i have no nostalgia for either but i loved them both.

What old games are so great that people should play those instead of more modern games?

The only time I will consider playing an old game is if I need to play it as an entry point to a series (IE: playing trails in the sky or trails from zero to break into the legend of heroes series) or if I’ve already exhausted my catalog of modern games to play.

And I don’t play remakes and remasters of games period because I don’t support lazy developing targeting nostalgia I and want resources going to new games instead.

Can’t play some JRPGs because of the 100 random battles that just occur all the time but that’s about it tbh. Still can replay games like Fable and KH 1/2 whenever
