If he didn’t drop Revival his legacy would be fine. Every rapper declines, but that album just took him to new lows we never thought were possible
R kelly in a whole other tier of tarnished tbh but due to exclusively musical issues, yeah probably Em
Just outsold Drake in 2020 with a surprise album so no
Shutup we in a f***in pandemic
so?
Obviously sales are impacted dramatically, and it was album full of loosies. Only like 4 songs out of 14 we didn’t hear. If Em dropped now he would do Troy Ave numbers stop it
Blowback against Em is because of 2 reasons
1. Casual(white) rap fans telling black people that the best guy in rap is white and everyone else is trash
2. Releasing really mid music that doesnt stack up to the standards his d*** riding fans spent 10 years building up
I think in 5 years or so we’ll appreciate Em as a legend more but for now we clowning him
yes, the last decade of his career has been Flo-Rida, Pitbull level. I'm not even joking, I don't think anyone in the world is more disappointed and bummed out how his career has gone than me.
He’s the literally only active artist to keep his acclaim with nothing of quality to show for it in 10+ years

Kamikaze was ok
Wish he dropped something great again tho. Maybe one day.
hate to say it but just music forum users and redditors think eminem is washed. the general public still loves him to this day and wont stop.
but yes his legacy is tarnished
Lol ppl def think he's washed nobody listening to his new s***
Due to the way he acts/markets himself he’s like the cringy white dad of the rap game who tries to fit in with corny behavior. That awful Godzilla triller snippet just goes to show that he’s definitely trying to fit in somewhere he doesn’t belong.
He’s definitely someone who deserves respect and old em used to hit but the game shifted. Rapping fast isn’t impressive. Especially that awfully repetitive flow he uses. Don’t even get me started on the beats
Eminem’s GOAT status comes from songs like Renegade and Forever where he would go toe to toe with the best rappers at the time and come out on top
A big reason people are questioning his legacy now is because it’s been so long since he did a track like that. The last few times he’s tried to do this it hasn’t worked very well. The only poppin lyrical rappers he’s tried to do this with recently are Kendrick and Sean. Apparently he locked Kendrick in a room alone and made him write his verse quick af and we all know he spent half the verse on Big Sean’s song rapping about Ann Coulter’s cooch
I think J Cole is the only rapper popular enough and good enough to go against Em in this fashion right now
