SonOfNkrumahYeah i opened up to my ex girlfriend. That was the first time in my 24 years id ever been transparent with anybody. But even with her i ended up f***ing things up and leaving her cause i felt "unworthy" She was willing to stick by me but i didn't wanna put her through my BS

Jan 8, 2021Deserve is such an ugly word because it sounds like we are owed love. To think about what we deserve and what not when it comes to love seems redundant to me. People who you may not deem deserving of love still receive it.
What makes anyone deserving of being loved anyway? If you break it down to something as general as asking does everyone deserve good things it becomes a bit more straightforward but still cloudy in my eyesI want to say nobody deserves anything by default and it all depends on how you treat people and on the energy you give out

Beginning of last year I made a conscious effort to correct my ways and I was on a decent path towards that but losing a great job in April and other s*** surrounding the pandemic has set me back and I've engaged in very self destructive behavior over the past 9 months. But I'm continuing to work and maybe some years from now I will be worthy.

vaylayes there is a cut off. "deserve" implies merit. but that should be reserved for extreme circumstances, not for someone who is insecure or has low self-esteem.
