"Trap = bad, Classical music = good" headass

I'm not saying terrible is bad, just saying terrible makes big songs. Why do you think blues n rock n roll were popular? Because they made songs about terrible things like depression, d**** and alcohol

To me, anything that is good and that is easy to find/right there in front of people will become successful. It’s just a matter of time.
The only problem is that making something good is really hard, and getting it in front of people is like 100 times even harder

I always talk.ablut this with friends. In today's world its both easier and harder than ever to blow yo and build a fan base. I song a lot and think I have a good ear for music.

There are some songs I've heard for the first time and automatically knew they would get big. And then there are songs I've heard that are so bad idk how they get the fans they do. Most grinding artists just aren't that good. 99% of the time when they ask me to listen to.their stuff its mid or not fully there yet.

I guess my a question is, if the music released is absolutely incredible is ot a matter of time before the internet and fans catch on?

For Example, if Man on the Moon 1 or House of Balloons was uploaded by a no name to Spotify today would it inevitably reach ears and eventually blow up?

I.think so. I think when.the music is that unique and fresh its a matter of getting people to click play.

    What you think?

    nope.
    enjoy your weekend though, cheers!

We still don’t know what went into the promotion to eventually get that music in front of enough ears for it to spread and eventually blow up.

For example, Mo Bamba. Sheck was already friends with Mo so all Mo had to do was upload the song to his followers right when he was getting hella attention in college.
Old Town Road. Lil Nas was already Twitter famous. All he’d have to do is put the song in a group chat with other Twitter famous people (they do this when trying to get a tweet trending) who can post the song to their hundreds of thousands of followers.

Most songs that blow up nowadays, from my perspective, you’ll notice that they are already attached to something external going on like a meme, controversy, or someone in the industry (payola).
