    I will say though that ICEMAN is definitely his best produced 2020s album

    The beats on it don't sound like your typical "Drake Type Beat" you see plastered all over YouTube

    Drake had a difficult time filling the creative void when 40 stopped working with him regularly. He kept looking for 40 clones and yeah a lot of inconsistency and type beats came out of it.

    He’s found some good collaborators since and I think Iceman is a little bit more inspired.

    Speaking of the production, I heard a few of the new songs at the club last night and none of them really seemed to elicit any kind of reaction from the crowd. I’m not sure if it’s because the albums are still new or if they just don’t work in that context. True Bestie was the one that went up the most

    Share your top 10 produced albums. This is up there for sure, the only things off top that compete are the Dre albums, Late Registration, and Tribe albums. Especially when we’re looking at not just beats but overall vocal production and all that

    That is a really dope album, I know common’s catalog front to back. I would probably go to Like Water for Chocolate before that personally but I get it

    What iceman has in common with those is top notch sound quality from the beats to the vocals and a cohesive feeling to the music. Hard drums and bass with clarity on everything else
