i think ultimately tlop is more interesting to me. It's definitely a masterpiece but I think it just had too much going on for the general public to really get it.

it's more of an art music record than mbdtf was and I think the connections he was making about religion/art/commerce was just not translating for some people

I love the album, top 3 Kanye to me. The soundscapes are very vivid, some of his most vivid in his whole career. And the album is chaotic in a good way, reminds me of how disjointed something like the white album is. Great concepts and production all around. Plus one of the greatest album rollouts of all time
