it’s interesting that Deathrow would title October london’s album - rebirth of marvin - it’s almost like setting yourself up for people saying “this isn’t marvin”
it’s like bilal calling his album the rebirth of prince. i doubt this singer would title it
October London has another project called “crypto winter” the music business is weird - some have no awareness of their project titles
what the f does crypto have to do with R&B? Snoop had to create that title
It is revealing that no one has updated
the deathrow page on wiki for a while
Hopefully this year Snoop understands to pick up where Death Row left off, meaning the whole team making the best possible sounding hip hop project they can.
Oddly all 2023 Death Row solo releases are mainly singers outside of Snoop.
I wanna see all the OGs drop albums on Death Row. Definitely Missionary, and then these DPG albums and Tha Eastsidaz.
Getting solos from Warren G and any other west coast legend associated with the label/brand would be incredible.
new sit down with big boy
snoop has them starting early for promo
Daz mentions how he stole all his master reels of DPG/solo/production work from Death Row with the u haul truck and a screw driver. i wonder what he has that we haven’t heard. Just go to daz to get the reel 😎

iirc Daz is the one who leaked the material for the 2pac bootlegs in the late 90s and Mike Dean also helped him out

Feature list is dope outside of DaBaby and at least Butch Cassidy is on that song.
October London is a great feature for them. Blxst is from LA and has been singing dope hooks lately.
Will.i.Am is also capable of making dope west coast music.

i wonder if Soopafly is going to be able now to release his debut “Like it or not “They have all or most of the tapes 😳
If i’m snoop, id talk to nate dogg family estate and i’d say “do you think there are death row tracks he would want the world to hear”
it may not be because his first lp was a double cd from dr sessions
you put eastsidaz on the title track? Snoop made sure the world to see em. That tells me the reunion lp is happening for ES.
this would be my lineup
2024:
eastsidaz (if you can’t next year)
snoop x dre (if it’s on deathrow)
2025-
nate dogg(possibly)
eastsidaz
dpg
lady of rage or rbx
😎
Is this the same Rick Rock from Bayarea and did the beats for the top 5 Rap groups of all time called The Federation?

I can't wait for that Eastsidaz album. It's sad their 2 albums aren't on streaming. Two incredible projects.

This man made the soundtrack childhood in the Bayreaa
I havent heard from him in a long minute but I wonder what made the collab happen

I aint heard from him inna long minute, dude made the soundtrack to my childhood of hyphy era Bayarea me going around Hayward, Oakland, Vallejo, Sacramento, San Leandro & San Francisco friends n family
I forgot tho until this thread that both Kurupt & Daz spent time in the Bay in the 2000s for some years too tho working with Federation, E40. Mac Dre, Mistah Fav & Keak Da Sneak
And of course Kurupt was one of the first niggas riding with 2Pac when Pac was still living in the Bay going bewteen Oakland & Sacramento & would be with E40, Mac Mall, Spice 1 & Too Short :banderad:
These two albums make The Federation a top 5 Rap group of all time & these two albums are very special for me & part of why im so good at drums in my beats wether im doing Rap or House music
2004:
2007:

All the city mentions might sound funny to the average person but fyi the Bayarea is a bunch of cities large and medium that are compacted n scrunched up on each other connected by bridges & highways
Its like a literal metropolis & every city and town in the bay from Vallejo at the top end to Sacramento at the bottom end are all 10 to 30 mins from each other
Some cities/towns are literally a stones throw away like Oakland and Hayward being literally ass to ass to one another
Kinda like the boroughs in NY is probably the closes thing to it
I will check this out bc I was a huge Death Row fan but I can’t imagine this being any good atp in time
