As a matter a fact the 5 Emmys that this show has won was because of Donald's writing
You don't think it's because as executive producer Donald chooses to submit the episodes he wrote for Emmy consideration because he's obviously a prick that's up his own ass as evidenced by today's interview?
you obviously have no idea how TV writing works which is why you should just sit this one out. every episode of Atlanta is Donald Glover’s creation, regardless of if he writes it or not
TV writing is very collaborative. the entire team breaks down every single script together with the final writing credit only going to one or two assigned people.
Donald is the executive producer so he is the main one deciding what stories they are going to tell. he has a team of writers and other producers ofc but they are there to execute HIS vision. for instance, he didn’t write the Barbershop episode but he was there every step of the way breaking it down and deciding the concept as well as having say in casting, direction, set design, etc. and the same goes for every other episode. that’s how showrunning works
you clearly don’t like the nigga which is fine but don’t try to discredit his work bc you can’t find anything to criticize about it
talking bout his only great episode was Teddy Perkins when EVERY episode is his creation
That's bullshit and not how TV writing works. Obviously there's a writer's room but the writer credited is the one that comes up with the story for the episode. It seems like you don't know how television production works.
Everyone credits Larry David for being the true genius behind Seinfeld. And credits JLD, Jason Alexander, and Michael Richards for carrying the show with their acting. Everyone pretty much agrees Jerry Seinfeld is the weakest part of his own show. I happen to think the same about Atlanta. Hiro, Stephen, BTH, Lakeith, and Zazie have much more to do with the show's success in my eyes than Don Glover
And I can find plenty to criticize about the show even though I enjoy it for the most part. #1 being it's derivative as f***. The same way most of Donald's work ends up being derivative as f***

Streets On Lock and Barbershop also have nominations
Nice try tho
this new self-interview is weird but i kno the second he announces a new album im 100% in
