Kanye when he has albums that are mostly just him: Kanye sucks!! I miss the old Kanye
Kanye when he has 4 features on every song: Kanye is back
the 4 best kanye albums
Lowkey i love JIK equally too
One of the few albums that always gets me emotional
damn bro
u telling me the 2nd stream didnt touch ur soul?
Call me sis, and honestly idk some parts of it yeah for sure, but some other parts just left me wanting more, I'm kinda 50/50 on, that second version tbh

the problem with jik is that (i feel) its a significant drop from what he had even done on ye. but its only because of s*** like his verses on everything you need and water being so f***ing lazy
the production on JIK is still as timeless and explorative as any of his other work. songs like hands on, water, god is.
there are no bad kanye albums. just a bunch of great to life altering albums to debate over

Yeah I enjoyed the first one a lot because it felt really crazy and creative 2 things I felt were kinda toned down on the second stream
Jik and Ye obviously
TLOP is still debatable
But I think I agree with you OP
And I loved TLOP

wow thats so interesting bro i kinda feel the exact opposite lmaooo
i loved the first one dont get me wrong, but the theatrics of the 2nd one (along with the updated music) made it much more interesting to me
been saying since the first listening party that Donda is his best album he's ever made. quote me on this in a year
Lol chill, this is not his best album

That's fair tbh, I J ust think the production got blander and safer and that Kanye is kinda holding back on this albim I honestly just want a finished version of it, it's too hard to judge this album rn
it maybe has potential to be on par with tlop when finished. dont think it has any chance to be "much better" jmo

by safer you mean more appealing to wide audiences and tiktok kids rather than the minimalistic cold and obscure album we heard the first time?

I mean kinda I felt like it was trying to please a broader crowd, Ye taught me to always go against the tide and do s*** differently so it felt weird hearing this new version which felt kinda easier and safer

First one was unfinished af dont know what he heard
Junya still trash for lil kids tho
I haven't listened to the second stream yet...trying to hold out...but...
I've always said Kanye's greatest strength was his taste. That's a curatorial thing. He knows if something sounds good, and it doesn't matter if he's on it or not. At the end of the day, the album is the thing, and he's the one responsible for it. If it's great, it's great, not in spite of how much Kanye is on it, but because of the decisions he's made that make it what it is. He's more like a director or painter at this point. It's still HIS album.
