People are going to always act like this on release day, give it a few days and then it’ll be war over where this really sits

facts, to me this feels like his best since dark fantasy.Cohesive, the juxtapose of the dark beats with the praising of god. Like we needed the journey from Ye to JIK and it payed off.
this might be better then Yeezus but it’s too early to tel we need at least 6 months to a year to determine that.
I think you’re right bro. This album is really f***ing good. I loved tlop but man, I gotta let it sit for a while. We’ll see
It's obviously better than Ye and JIK, but you have to sit with an album for a while to really see how good it is. Can't say if it's better than TLOP yet. TLOP to me seems better and better over time.
no song on TLOP touches Come to life, it’s those moments on his albums that make me a fan
Agree with adding Come to Life to group of goat interpersonal Ye songs (hey mama, only one, white dress). would you also add Wouldn't Leave to that group?

I love TLOP but off rip the highs on Donda are higher than that album.
Only thing Donda has going against it imo are it's length and some unnecessary features
No matter what your thoughts on the last listening party are, any version of DONDA beats JIK, ye and TLOP.
I know TLOP got a crazy like cult following but i feel like this is just because most of y’all started stanning ye around that era since hip hop gained a huge popularity boost around 2015 and TLOP just happened to be your first ye album so ofc it will hold a special place in your heart. Don’t get me wrong, TLOP is good - but it’s far from any album Ye released previous to it.
It’s the opposite with DONDA, he outshines his last 3 releases and managed to put another body of work next to the likes of MBDTF and Late Registration.
Why did HipHop get a boost around 2015

probably not, i’d add ghost town tho if ye had more vocals on it tbh
Why did HipHop get a boost around 2015
just felt like it to me, check billboard ever since around 2013-2015 and the percentage of rap songs probably just exponentially increasing. I didn’t check it but i’m pretty sure, might have to check after i post this lol
