    He’s talking about Kanye right

Kanye is the only artist that everyone stops to listen to when he’s dropping an album.

Kanye releases music on a regular basis sooooo no.

Am I lying though? People really love to pick and choose when the "numbers" matter on here lol.

  • Jul 15, 2023

OP I feel like that's bait... like he praised Kendrick but he didn't trash the type of artists who don't disappear

Kevin Hart been getting some solid guests for these lil interviews. It's just annoying how industry polished and manufactured it is. They sometimes don't feel all that real with how scripted they seem. That being said, it's not often you get dudes like Jay Z or Dr Dre doing "candid" interviews.

    WRU fuk em up

these musicians say a whole lot of nothing on these podcasts first Tyler with some snooze s*** about you need to listen to albums to like em now dre standing against gatekeeping like it did something

shoutout their marketing teams for feeding them the 'correct' opinions I guess

Yeah that's pretty much my issue with these. It's too much self-fellatiating going on.

At the end of the day, every artist's approach is different. There's no right or wrong way to do music.

You've got artists like Drake and Taylor Swift who are constantly putting out new projects and artists like Kendrick and Beyonce who prefer to take their time.

Eh he took 15 years to drop one of the most forgettable and short lived comebacks ever. Far worse situation than any artist dropping consistently without breaks.

Like it or hate it, it was still a really big success overall

Could’ve been bigger if it was more accessible but he doesn’t have to do that

Easy to do when you have the entire music industry, every single DSP, CashApp, and every hip-hop blog/media publication sucking and swallowing the ever-loving soul out of your album before it even drops!

complaining about aggressive marketing as a Drake stan is crazy

I don’t like the trashing of either approach, from people who know personally how hard it is to make music everybody’s different

most of it is to keep the media industry active via engagement, mentions, and ad shows. on a personal level it serves no purpose other than getting to at least hear from your favorite musician, no matter how bland or stupid what theyre saying is

if this is how people get their entertainment (by witnessing and participating in discussions around it) then they'll leave the entire thing burned out, jaded, and all-around unhappy

As already said sold well and got acclaim initially based on the circumstances. Huge comeback hype, a damn movie that was a cultural event tied to the album, and ofcourse critics weren’t gonna be seen as the a******s that s*** on a GOAT veteran finally coming back after a long wait.

Overall though once dust settles, I woulda been pissed as hell if that is what I got from a favorite artist after a 15 year wait

It’s like if Michael Jordan did one last game today, obviously nobody gonna be the a****** that s***s on his current level of skill but if he only made like 2 scores the entire game then well yeah lmao. Ultimately that wasn’t a needed return.

No, he's talking about himself. He's trying to save face that Detox never came and his last couple projects ain't been received in the same light as his others

    KTT be steadily projecting
