Yet another GOAT opinion from the GOAT producer
Though some artists who do content dumps do drop heat but not everyone can be Gucci or RXK Nephew
“Shocking, amazing, everybody is gonna tune in..”
Yeah, that wasn’t Mid Steppers. Went straight to my recycling bin

Drake d*** go in. Mid steppers go out.
He’s talking about Kanye right
Kanye is the only artist that everyone stops to listen to when he’s dropping an album.
Consistent quality annually >>>>> mid or mysterious music every few years
The quality is rarely consistent for those artists. Drake and Hov have goat catalogs but they’re also very spotty and inconsistent. It’s like a 50/50 chance between classic and meh
Dr. Dre is your favorite producer's favorite producer alongside J Dilla.
There’s a reason even today—Dre is the gold standard for mixing and mastering. Something like “Sounds so crisp. Like a Dre production” has been said hundreds of times around here the last decade lol
Lot of people around here too young to witness 90s Dre—shit so was I lol, but going back and studying rap—No producer ever will have the pull/clout/midas touch w.e you wanna call it. “When your record sales weren’t doing to well, who’s the doctor they told you to go see” fr
S***ting on Dre's music cuz of Compton is like saying MJ is a terrible basketball player cuz of his Wizards run lmaooooo

The Chronic one of the best sounding rap albums of all time lmao like bar none. It's f***in insane

And people have the nerve to say Diddy would beat him in a Verzuz battle.
Diddy would have to perform with a Biggie hologram the entire time to compete.
Eh he took 15 years to drop one of the most forgettable and short lived comebacks ever. Far worse situation than any artist dropping consistently without breaks.
Every album drake has dropped since damn is better than morale too
"Kendrick is a Forever Artist'.. He can disappear for five years and comeback and f*** our heads up...Some artists feel like i have to do something all the time so I won't be forgotten. That's not him. He can disappear and come back with something that's shocking, amazing..and everybody's going to tune in"
!https://youtu.be/wPSTST0JB5si don’t think he was trashing anyone
just commending Kendrick’s approach
probably because Dre was moving the same way himself back when he was still
an active participant in rap
Idk why he’s so bitter, gen z just isn’t into the aftermath/tde sound but that’s to be expected. No need to trash other rappers

Literally said some artists drop music for the sake of being relevant. But yea go off
Compton sold well for an album without hits and it's his most critically acclaimed album.
It was unique for Dre standards and he definitely evolved his production and content on it.
That Anderson Paak and Kendrick influence on it actually worked well imho.
how is it his most critically acclaimed album
this is the same mf that made the chronic, unless im missing something
Literally said some artists drop music for the sake of being relevant. But yea go off
he said artists drop because THEY FEEL like fans will move on if they don’t drop music constantly
and in 2023 that is a very realistic approach
you don’t have to be a hater to appreciate what Dre is talking about
people just love to stir the pot
Dre thinks he's bigging up K Dot but Mid Steppers barely sold more than a Drake throwaway project
Dre a big loser.
The fact that niggas hate on kendrick is disgusting smh
He so little🤭
Hes right 100% about Kendrick being a forever artist
But in the same time I love when artists consistently release music coz I don't wanna listen to the same s*** for a couple of years before something else comes out. Along as its good, thats fine.
