A problem like that is definitely a more regional issue rather then an overall prominent issue.

I feel like a lot of homeless people or people close to it are too ashamed to speak out and ask for help as well.

In the state we’re in now with the pandemic, growing economic inequality and decades now of economic crashes coupled with the looming doom of climate change, a lot of our generation and the ones after are gonna be living day to day and one bad day could put them into homelessness within the month.

We could be seeing it more and more as things go on and we as a society continue to shame them for not constantly being good for it.
