why are people hating on this game so much (I have never played this series)

In public opinion, BioWare has fallen far from the days of KOTOR, mass effect and dragon age:origins, they lost a lot of important team members and their last few releases, Andromeda and Anthem, both ended up being mid. So I think a lot of people think modern Bioware is about to ruin this franchise but personally I’m hopeful that they pull it off

BioWare been having a lotta misses. I personally don’t have much faith in this tbh. I’m gonna wait for reviews.

They haven’t actually f***ed up a dragon age game yet and i don’t think they will start

I think it will be worse than Origins but definitely better than Inquisition

Most of these games are not good or average at best. The cover of this game immediately made me think of those other mediocre games. Corporate product purple
