If you're just saying from DB to DBZ, I could maybe see how you consider the DB story as great. The Buu Saga is pretty much the same transformations + death doesn't matter + more transformations s*** we've been getting in Super, just way cooler and better written

i’m not sure buu is great, but i think toriyama took a risk and tried to make it more comedic like early db. the only problem for me is that that decision seems motivated by toriyama being mad tired and sick of writing dragonball more than anything else
