JBP made a funny point:
You know the album was fire when everybody he "dissed" responded back within a couple hours of it dropping lol
Rich Flex gotta be in everyone's top 5, best way to start the album off.
Just barely missed mine because it is a perfect intro and amazing song but at the end of the day Iām gonna play the more soulful joints more (for a lack of a better word), just my taste
after further review, this is drakeās most hollow album
itās also his least vulnerable
drake is basically the antithesis of kendrick in terms of values and content
on this album drake is hiding behind his money, popularity, etc more than ever
thereās no denying heās great at delivering raps but even that is in question cause i hear futureās writing behind a lot of the material and flows
i progressively feel more pity for drake because i can hear how empty his life must be based on this music heās standing behind
this album isnāt something iām going to run back over and over
Bro said after further review like we was all waiting on the outcome

Fair enough bro
That one really got me stuck into the album, I actually played that a few times before I proceeded to the other tracks.
They name Anna Wintour specifically as not endorsing it. The plot thickens
I wish some of yāall wouldnāt take music thatās so obviously just supposed to a vibe and fun so seriously
it's more than being about rap
your music is an expression of who you are as a person
it's all subjective though so it probably doesn't speak to me because i don't put a lot of value on money, cars, broads, etc anymore
Exactly why you should listen as if youāre in there shoes.
You think I care if he say Im broke if I do party buses and hibachi? You think I care he got 500 million?
No. But ima rap along and act like i do as well because I enjoy how heās delivering his raps
Fun metaphors. Witty wordplay and punchlines. Clever flows and cadences.
Meanwhile itās a snoozefest listening to mr alien voice and the slave steppers cuz his bars are boring asf. I could give two f***s about the content. Itās the actual lyrics for me. Along with his weak ass weird ass flows and terrible beats
Or these other mumble or trap rappers who are so repetitive and bars that sound so corny.
Man yāall donāt really a***yze music to be giving opinions on whatās good or not.

That doesn't make it immune from criticism if others feel they want to lol

What a bad point lol
Album just fire thatās how we know
If we use this metric then this album and kamakaze are the two best rap albums of the decade
I wish some of yāall wouldnāt take music thatās so obviously just supposed to a vibe and fun so seriously
this album literally a vibe
i just like how it sounds overall and thats what it takes to be thankful and appreciate good music

Yeah some people itt taking it way too seriously for no reason

Damn 3am on Glenwood ain't on nobody top 5 from this s***? Tf?
least fav but i love every song on here.
What a bad point lol

isn't it partially subjective tho? on that last part. what makes a song dope? me and you could have two entirely different ideas of that. obviously there are objective things with music that can be seen as bad, but for the most part yea.
Ofc itās subjective I aināt saying that Iām just saying they barely even touch on the criteria in the first place anymore. Level of technical ability, such as flow, cadence, clever wordplay, wittiness etc. Or production wise how a particular sample flip is interesting or not etc. Like⦠the ACTUAL music lmao
they just be making s*** up man
A lot of these narratives are ridiculous lol they not used to getting an actual fire project theyāre used to coming up with extra reasons why the music is actually dope because they heard a woman play it outside and they saw some tweets about it

it's just like who on f***ing earth listens to this right... sits back... sees the responses from meg, ice, whoever, and goes YUP, THIS is how you know its fire!
like do people ever just take a second and think to themselves what the f*** do i even mean by that lol. s*** is so nebulous.
CLB Day
Yāall weird ass obsession with pointing out someoneās username as if that means anything.
If Kendrick album reception revolved around disses and controversy this much yāall wouldāve said it was corny and he needs that to make noise
Yāall notoriously say control was wack
So the flip to āyou know this is fire because people are tweeting about the controversiesā is wild to see
What happened to it just being about the music (which is goated)
