kendrick def has more made more fun/hit type of songs than drake has made deep/thought-provoking songs so if anything IMO kdot is closer to doing both.

I named 7 songs off the top of my head. Half of Certified Lover Boy is introspective / deep or whatever you wanna label it as.

Honestly Nevermind was very much honest, introspective, and vulnerable and that came out a couple months ago?

I’m not disagreeing with anything you said here.

My point was just that, as his career has progressed, he’s gotten less and less introspective and emotionally deep with each project he releases.

There are still moments here and there, but it used to be one of the main factors of his music. That’s not so much the case anymore.

It’s not necessarily a good or a bad thing, just an observation

Oooh I get you. Yeah I felt it too at times, the lack of „Too Much”’s, „Look What You’ve Done”’s even „Lose You”’s etc. Felt like peeping into his diary back then so it probably was even more relatable. I felt this especially on CLB, his ear for melodies is still godlike, I still enjoy some of those songs for what they are but I totally get what you’re saying. Well, you have to respect the place he’s in right now if you don’t feel it then you just don’t.
