Pretty s***ty for the people who already had taken off work or had things in order to go

Yeah, but it is what it is. At least, he didn't cancel the show entirely.
MEMPHIS show originally slated for JUNE 29 now moved to AUGUST 6.
COLUMBUS show originally slated for July 2 now moved to OCTOBER 9.
@Vietbrah first two dates got pushed. Show now starts on JULY 5 in CHICAGO.

Would go to this if I knew any other drake fans
It's a bit awkward the first date is one of the worst selling ones.
This tour has sold amazingly, there's like 3 dates that still have considerable amount of tickets left and the first date is one of em.
I told y'all about that date lmao

Go by yourself. You'll meet tons of dope Drake fans at the show.
He moved the Columbus date, too.
Probably because it doesn't really make sense to start the tour at that date then not perform for 4 days after.

Yeah, definitely done for logistical reasons. Memphis date got moved to August 6 and the Columbus date got moved to October 9, after the Toronto shows.
Wym?
He always pushes back dates or even cancels shows when he’s on tour. He recently even cancelled his brazil lollapollaza show last minute with no statement or nothing
Wait when is the official first day of tour now?
Thursday July 5 in Chicago

literally booked a whole trip from LA to São Paulo for that performance. doesn’t help that Lolla’s ticketing agency in Brazil hasn’t said a word on refunds (which were promised) and there’s literally no way to get support. It was nice watching IG stories of Drake clubbing in Rio get posted while i sat in my hotel room tho.
Give me one reason why these rappers are constantly cancelling/rescheduling/showing up late to performances that isn’t one about money or inconvenience for the artist?
the rumor for drake canceling Lolla Brazil was that the check wasn’t as high as it should have been. so what? you miss out on 250k tops…what is that to a guy like drake? is it worth disappointing all of brazil and the Lolla organization? could you not have done the show, made your fans happy, then had your lawyers deal with the money in court afterwards?
it’s one thing to make music just for the money but it’s another to perform just for the money. if they make music just for the money, and it’s total s***, the worst case scenario for us the listeners is not liking the music. if they perform just for the money, and it’s s*** (or doesn’t happen at all), the worst case scenario for us the listeners is wasted time, money and resources.
and excuse the cringe of a triple post but just imagine being so egoistical about your cancellation that you don’t even give your fans a proper apology?
as others have mentioned it’s kind of a big f***ing deal for drake to just postpone these shows 1-2 weeks before they happen. what about people with jobs who require advanced notice for vacation and can’t just change to their schedule like that? what about people with non refundable flights and hotel rooms?

He should have never booked the show in Brazil because I've never seen a more entitled set of people. His first time ever there doing Rock in Rio, they were making up lies about him hating the country because he didn't stop to take pictures with a massive swarm of people one by one, because he came with his own chef (which is something he does whenever he tours) and because he refused to stream his set.
They were calling him racist names and doing all sorts of nasty s*** and their "media" over there had a ball fanning the flames by spreading even more false stories about him. I don't even know why he booked another date there.
I go to a place like that for the first time and they treat me that way, I'm never going back there again.

It's messed up but things like this can always happen when a tour gets announced, that's why people are adviced to go to shows in their cities to avoid extra costs in case a show gets rescheduled.
When he shifted dates the first time on this tour, he did it about 5 weeks before the tour was set to begin so at least people had time. At least this time, he's only moving 2 shows around. It sucks but stuff like that can always happen.
