Tours get cancelled/delayed for various reasons all the time.

It’s just a very random and minor thing to lie about, considering the tour hasn’t even been officially announced yet.

And that reporter works for a major news network that’s very reputable, I highly doubt he’d just make up a story like this

How can it be canceled if it was never announced? That's why leaks tend to ruin s*** like this.

It was supposedly set to start in May so it definitely would’ve been announced in February at the latest.

I don’t take it as Drake’s not gonna tour at all this year if this one is cancelled, they’ll probably just downsize it to an arena tour

My guess is that worse case, he pushes the tour to start at a later date because of production issues? He's been so excited to tour this summer, I don't see how a tour that's probably been in the works for several months suddenly gets cancelled just like that.

The guy specifically used “cancelled” though, big difference between that and a delay.

What could be happening is this stadium tour is scrapped but they downsize it to an arena tour with a later start date, more dates, and possibly a different name

I want to assume his team would have done their due diligence in knowing what went into putting on a stadium tour before booking stadium dates (and likely beginning work on a stadium tour production).

Yeah, it did.

It got pushed back several times for a couple different reasons. The first was I think out of respect for Takeoff’s unfortunate passing, and I can’t remember what the second delay was for.

I don’t necessarily disagree, but it also doesn’t mean it’s true, which we know. We don’t have to 100% believe it especially when we don’t know how accurate it is

Yeah but it's weird because Bad Bunny/The Weeknd were able to play stadiums last year in the US with no issues and you also have Taylor Swift announcing a 52-date US stadium tour that begins in March.

Artists are playing stadiums with no issues, so...

Maybe it’s all the influx of artist booking stadiums at one time? Like bad bunny, weeknd, Taylor swift, rihanna (rumored), and drake all at the same time might cause some issues

Anyways, if the stadium tour did indeed get cancelled, we're 100% getting a co-headlining arena tour with 21 Savage for the US dates.
