You just answered the question in the first line. All the songs on Care Package were released by Drake unofficially between 2010-2016. They didn't become official releases till 2019 when Care Package dropped on DSPs. War, Chicago Freestyle/When to Say When/Desires were also unofficially released by Drake before they all got added to DLDT and released officially. By definition, because Drake was signed to a record deal and still dropped those songs without the consent of the record label, they're leaks. Just leaked by himself. Not to mention the several songs that Drake/his team have played on their radio show knowing people could rip those songs live or rip them whenever they uploaded the episodes on SoundCloud.

Yes, fans buying Drake leaks are bad but it's not nearly as bad as someone faking Drake's likeness and identity for clout and monetary gain. If you can't see the difference between those two things, I don't know what to say to you.

but how do you stop it? if the code is out there someone will always make artist replicated ai songs. you can make it illegal but then it will become like pirating (you can't find full movies/tv show eps on youtube but you can on torrents)

one thing could be record labels owning the likeness of their artists. but then you will have a hard time believing whether a song is ai or not (not now maybe but when ai gets better). drake voice will literally become a "hitmaker" at that point

Movies like Star Wars have actually already been doing something similar with using CGI to "recreate" famous past dead actors. In a few of the cases the actor/actress never consented, but their estate gave approval because obviously it makes them $$. Basically the same as if X's mom tomorrow was like "Yeah we're gonna use AI to make a brand new X album".

No one really cared about Star Wars doing that, maybe cause the actor's dead. But that's personally a super weird line to draw
