These are two artists that can easily go on long breaks but they don’t because this music s*** is what they live for. They have nothing left to prove, already reached the pinnacle of fame and fortune, but they just can’t stop. That’s because when you are truly passionate about something, you can’t just stop doing it. As a fan of music, that’s something you gotta respect even if you don’t like them
You can easily tell whose heart is in it and whose isn’t. I won’t name the artists who disappear for years on end because we know who they are but the truth is they just don’t care about this music s*** nearly as much as Drake and TSwift do

Even with this current feud, Drake stans aren't really all that wild.
Drake fans mostly like to brag about numbers or have an almost homoerotic infatuation with Aubrey, bragging about how many hoes he f***s or how big his d*** is. It's like a combination of Hovengers and Rocky fans when it comes to living vicariously through him.
But, outside of that, Drake stans don't really argue too much or get too cocky when it comes to GOAT discussions and classic debates.
Taylor fans, otoh, not only live vicariously through her and brag about her numbers, but they're known to make death threats to her critics, death threats to her ex-boyfriends, claim she's the greatest artist of all time, and will have a cult-like attachment to her.

Artists get inspired at different times and work on different schedules. How often you drop has nothing to do with how much you love it.
Loving it too much can lead you to become paralyzed and indecisive, leading to no drops, just as easily as it can lead you to dropping half baked ideas that were not fully realized yet, constantly, because you just want to do it.Yeah there are probably artist who drop all the time because they dgaf, and then artist who never drop because they dgaf

As an artist I can empathize with people their time especially when you have other pressures in life
But dog these artists we’re talking about are so privileged and have so much access and freedom of their time generally speaking
if you taking more than 3 years on a project at that point then I feel like there’s a good chance you’re lazy and don’t care about it like that, and aren’t putting in the work to make your inspiration happen or just show up and make the work and see what comes out
Especially with where the times are at now, idk man it just seems privileged and not hungry

“I need a situation and life experience” like bro just go in the booth and you can work on a long term bigger project that takes longer while also just making other stuff and instead of being mysterious just put out some of the other stuff in the mean time. If you’re good it might be just as good or better than the project you’re taking so serious taking years on
