Yeah bro I actually thought about this last night...

His capability of making good records is still there but the hunger, and the pure artistry is essentially over - i also noticed that about his live performances now (which when he actually raps still sounds incredible, he just hasn't finishing his lines anymore). He literally FEELS like a corporation now.

Which led me to realize, the one thing no one can beat is time/age, which is why I think it would make sense for him to drop this Dance album and then a scary hours and be gone for a while. Because when you look at him perform some of his stuff now, he genuinely looks aged.

That, with a combination of his core fan group being 13 years older than when they started the journey together. First time in my life where I feel disconnected from the artist that really changed my life.

To be honest, that's why the YM Reunion didn't feel like a show, it felt like a celebration for those 3 artists who are seemingly still incredible at making good music but aren't inspiring us like they once did.

he hasn't gone on a tour since pre-covid. therefore he hasn't done proper tour rehearsals since then. trust his next tour will be much different than this or any of his other surprise appearances the past couple years.

What he said on Nicki Minajs radio was a good sign, it’s almost exactly what he needed to say to relieve the idea that’s he become just a business machine haha.

Hopefully he’s got more to give, more boundaries to push, and more to say about life in his upcoming music.

I agree with some things

first, nicki and wayne killed their performances. Of course they dipped into more classics because they dont even have a lot of recent music that hitting like that too..and their not the main card.

Drake likes dipping into his new bag because hes still putting out good quality music that is relevant and hitting. Now, it may not hit for the whole crowd like it once did but it will still cater to a good portion. I really think he just gets excitement performing his new s*** and seeing what sticks. Also hes released so many songs and he didn't get a chance to perform a lot of the records.

Drake still sounds amazing when he performs and he thankfully he still doesn't use any background music unless for hooks.

side note: Some of drake greatest performances is when he used to perform with his Adrian X and his band..I would love for him to get back to that. circa 2011-2012 was goated.

Now back to Drake half-assing his verses and letting the crowd participate. That s*** can get very annoying and I understand why he does it during his cameos but when you doing as your own concert that aint it. Now, he didn't do it as much for his newer music. I get why he does it as he wants to engage the crowd with their participation and it sounds amazing when the crowd singing/rapping back to you.

He did do it for some of the vintage songs.. That s*** can get annoying. He killed his hyfr performance.

His little singing rendition was pretty dope. Its f***ing crazy how many amazing concert/performance songs Drake has that he doesn't even perform them anymore

he actually has too many songs that he cant even perform them all lol. That's why I love when he does that throwback mix when he performs a little bit of every song "i got all the hits boy" set.

His song selection wasn't the best this time around but it was still good . It was way better then that Kanye concert.

I really think Drake saving himself for a full our worldwide tour..but he need to get back to finishing his verses and s***. Add your band back if anything

OVO was still amazing as usual. Had a great time. Best moments was seeing YM performing all their songs together and DRAKE/WAYNE/NICKI big 3 collabo records
