I agree on most of this, I was on the floor.
Wayne and Nicki were so special, but again, Drakes setlist choice was ODD. For so long I’ve seen him guest appear, tour and do whatever else while always being so spot on / aware of the song choices that will resonate with the crowd. It felt like the Kanye concert all over again where the energy was sucked out after the crowd barely found it back from waiting hella long in the heat.
You watch Nicki and Wayne perform classic hits and then Drake goes up there and doesn’t even dip into classics while feeling the need to address the haters about his new s*** and slow down the whole vibe into a weird ass rendition of LNCL, a song which would have been unreal played normally… it’s like bro, we are all here cause we love you and your new s*** too.
The night was incredibly special to me and unforgettable seeing them all up there but Drake honestly fumbled what could have been his most epic shows of all time so easily, a celebration of their careers and the city, by continuing his subpar setlist choices (since the pandemic)
Feels like he was saving his new s*** for next year tour. He said he wanted to catch up on the songs he didn’t perform yet but I agree I was hoping for a better set list from him where he could’ve at least performed his classics
Has drake become a legacy act where every performance people cry about wanting the classics? Nothing wrong with playing his new albums. Its still amazing music

He has such a broad catalogue of hits that cutting any of them is bound to make some people upset

No but i think it was the setting
Nicki and especially Wayne played older s***, and the Young Money set at the end was all old s***. The whole thing was about it being a reunion and I see why people were nostalgic, wanting to hear old hits.
Similar to the concert with Kanye. ye set the mood off with alotta old stuff, so people probably expected Drake to continue the same way

Nope he just been performing with a lot of legacy artists lately
Not sure if this had been posted but looks like Wayne and Nicki and YM team were able to get into Toronto for the OG date. So looks like Drake did actually get COVID and the postponement wasn't due to Wayne having trouble getting across the border or Nicki having beef with Drake

This is a fire version of LNCL, almost like a R&B version of it
LNCL probably one of my favourite Drizzy tracks
So triumphant.
Did we ever find out what the reason behind the delay was? I saw rumors about Wayne but he was at the show already.
Made this Edit of the Yebba Intro. Tried to clean it as much as possible. LMK if it's good enough.
