But they're the type of songwriting that would have worked really well for this style and seem to be lacking
The ideas he's bringing writing wise just sound a bit bland even though the sound is cool

I get he already had a relationship with Black Coffee but I wish he'd done the whole thing with someone like Disclosure
Yeah every time it felt like there could be a moment for something interesting, he played it the most safe he could and end result is a very boring album (imo)

The inspiration is clearly there. I respect the hell out of Drake for not just throwing his name on this without giving real effort out of respect for Virgil

My one gripe with this albim is I think it could’ve been done a bit better, maybe included beats from more people like Virgil or kaytra or f*** idk, I just think at times the Sonics aren’t there
