I'm a fan of both but Pablo is still better than any Drake album for the last 3 years, no matter how many good singles he drops.

Kanye outrapped Kendrick on a track in 2016, just like he was able to sometimes with Hov in 2011.
But if we're being real Pablo was the last time we saw Kanye really dedicate himself to music in the way we're used to. It's clear now most of his thoughts are around fashion or his role as a public figure.

So really isn't obvious that Kanye's main focus isn't his own music let alone Drake's

Also people forget Kanye has been creating music since the late 90s. He's been putting out rap hits since 2003 and as a producer since 2001. That's a full 8 years before Drake first hits the mainstream. In 8 years time I don't think Drake will have the same focus on music that he has now. And if people really insist on comparing them - 9 years in Kanye drops MBDTF as a follow up to 808s and Graduation, 9 years in Drake drops Scorpion as a follow up to Views and More Life. And as much as Nice For What was probably my favourite song of 2018, there really is no contest for me in who's music was at a better place when Kanye was at the point Drake is now. Maybe Drake will overtake Ye, but it's too early to tell yet. Most likely, Drake will retire and go into film/TV before he reaches the equivalent of Pablo-era Ye. So I don't think you can compare their legacies yet, it would be like trying to compare DaBaby against someone who's been in the mainstream for a decade, it just hasn't been long enough to tell yet.
