BrickellBaysideHere's what I think. I think he was searching for 'the moment' he wasn't trying to find a smash radio hit.
If he got it? Great. Here's the clean edit for it. But he was looking for the viral moment. That's why the video for Family Matters exists. Viral moment =/ smash hit.
Its just a long rap diss with a MV. And in this era, MV are incredibly cheap to make, which is why a MV doesn't inherently mean single. And a Clean edit is just standard for any record that's on DSP's for 99% of major label recording acts.
He's been way more purposeful when it comes to wanting a smash radio record before. I just don't think he (or Dot for that matter w/Euphoria) are making 7 min songs if the idea is for them to last beyond the breathe of the entire beef.
So you do Family matters + MV to try and and get dot out of here and it's over, but MTG killed all of that and that's all there is to it tbh
If he was looking for the smash single, he would have made the song shorter, maybe had the radio DJ on it to make it anthemic...kind of like...push ups.
