Lying about what? corporation neither refuted or admitted to claims. This is a common practice. Declining to comment means just that.

They declined to comment about the settlement yet Rolling Stone is citing they got a comment from them about the settlement. Let’s take a minute to think.

Did they get caught in a lie???

    https://twitter.com/ovodocket/status/1896663289318514810

how would an anonymous Twitter account have any knowledge of correspondence between iheart and rolling stone?

  • Mar 4, 2025

    Another addendum to the lawsuit

"After running away to Australia to escape the ridicule that came with Superbowl humiliation, Mr. Graham had to cut his tour short due to being bullied by Vegimite eating Australians who would yell "A Minor" everywhere he would go. This has led to further loss of income and mental torture and UMG needs to compensate for this"

Rolling stone is not claiming that iHeart as an organisation formally responded to comment. their claim is that an insider has provided comment (which is not particularly unusual)

AP and Rolling Stone are two different publications. They can communicate and reply to whomever they please. And it was an insider commenting.

Critical thinking still optional when discussing Aubrey. I forgot. Back to this album.

More importantly, this settlement was reached on February 26.

AP was the first to report on it and Drake's legal team left a statement that echoed what they filed with the court (both parties reached a settlement that was favorable to both parties and as such, the suit would be dropped). That was when iHeartMedia (via their lawyers) were supposed to leave their own comment. Even if they couldn't immediately reply to AP in time for their article, they could have left a comment with them a day or 2 later and the article would have been updated but they didn't.

5 days pass and now a "source from iHeartMedia" puts out a statement that all the publications are rushing to post, instead of the initial post that AP posted. That source still isn't iHeartMedia because their lawyers are supposed to put out that statement, not some random, faceless "source."

These are the same games UMG tried to play when they LIED that Drake had taken out certain elements of his lawsuit against them and that would lead to the case being dropped. A bunch of legacy media publications reported that, which was based on absolutely nothing but what they were fed by UMG because there isn't even any legal document corroborating that.

That's why Drake's lawyers doubled down and insisted the judge not push the start of the trail further. Too many games are being played.

This is why you don't lie and play stupid games. Enough is enough, man.

No use trying to have any good faith discussions with these people. They are still repeating the same s*** they said 570 pages ago. Very clear what’s going on.

It's very very clear and it makes you wonder: if Drake doesn't have a case and is just throwing s*** at the wall to see what sticks, would all these media companies he's going against be playing all these manipulative games? Why not just follow due process and let the case go to trial and see what happens?

As a huge Drake fan that logic is almost foolproof, until you remember that Drake has also settled in the past as well, in that sexual assault case

Why didn't he let that go to trial and see what happens?

Can you explain to me what UMG has done besides let the case play out and file a legal notice to try to dismiss this bogus case?
