Even UMG themselves said niggas have been calling Drake a pedophile for years because of his documented questionable associations with younger women

He never threatened to sue anyone until Kendrick said it on a huge record

''Even the Party who's being sued over their involvement is defending it''

I don't think you understand how a defamation lawsuit works

If Not Like Us got as big as it became without any sort of label interference, Drake wouldn't have a leg to stand on to sue. If it was only posted on YouTube but still went on to get hundreds of millions of views and became a massive hit, Drake wouldn't have any grounds to sue anyone. He'd just have to take that s*** on the chin. That's why he never wanted to put the diss tracks up on DSPs. That's something everyone harassed him to do. Once that happened, it gave UMG the power to f*** around however they wanted to and now we're here.

We’ll just have to see how this plays out at this point fam

Either side clearly isn’t going to change their mind on how they view the lawsuit rn

I mean he doesn’t. This is being laughed at by anyone who isn’t a Drake d*** rider

I wonder what their cope will be when this case either gets thrown out or ends with Drake losing

Because there was no record label push (which is what this lawsuit is mostly about) during that beef, both artists didn't post their tracks on DSPs.

I don't know why people are crying over this. Keep the record labels out of rap beef.

Exactly. I've already spoken on how Drake himself had to push for UMG to not make Back to Back his summer 2015 single. He gave UMG Hotline Bling instead and Charged Up and Back to Back were on SoundCloud first before they eventually went up on DSPs. Duppy Freestyle never went up on DSPs. The Story of Adidon still had its intended impact without having to go up on DSPs. The only reason why niggas forced Drake to put his diss tracks on DSPs is because a play was already drawn and ready to go. Drake was just not smart enough to see it.

what would you be saying if the roles were reversed and everyone was calling Kendrick a woman beater on a global scale though?

If he was being called that and he wasn't actually a woman beater, I'd hope that he'd come out and defend himself and if it still persisted, I wouldn't mind if he sued UMG for defamation, especially if they spend millions pushing Family Matters and making it a massive record. I'd clown him for it at first but I'd also understand why someone who wasn't a domestic abuser wouldn't be okay with having that on their jacket outside the confines of a rap beef.

I don’t think YOU understand how defamation works. Simply saying something untrue isn’t enough grounds for defamation in a court of law. There needs to be clear and directly causational evidence of either reputational or financial damage.

Drake was already called a pedophile for years before that track ever existed, so the song didn’t directly damage his reputation.

And he was the highest streamed artist of 2024, second highest selling globally of 2024, and still sells out arenas with ease, so he definitely did not suffer any financial damage.

That's what you think. The judge has to decide on whether that's actually the case or not.

Drake got UMG to remove adidon from YouTube when it originally dropped

He thought UMG would suppress Kendrick’s songs in the same way because of his relationship with the label.

How do I know this? The leaked DMs he had with that designer guy. He said it

We know Drake is not a pedophile. We don't know that Kendrick is not a domestic abuser.

We know there’s zero evidence Kendrick beat his wife and Drake has done multiple weirdo things

Oh yeah, plus Drake clearly doesn't give a f*** how "the culture" views him because of the lawsuit. He believes he has a case and if the case goes to trial, we'll see what case his lawyers make on his behalf.

This is cap. TSOA got removed by Hov and his team because Pusha T wasn't cleared to use the beat. And if UMG indeed removed it, that'd be why they did it.

someone “baiting” in Drake sxn: “did you guys know Drake groped a minor in 2010, when he was 23?”

Drake stan getting “baited” into defending pedophilia: “17 is actually legal in some places”

their friends who definitely don’t support pedophilia too: “he didn’t deserve the ban, he said nothing wrong”
