I Can’t Feel My Face could easily be a Britney Spears or Ariana Grande song
Blinding Lights is Katy Perry Firework tier music for me, stuff you hear at like sporting events but would never play because it’s too “epic pop” lol
Respectfully, I don’t think Britney or Ariana would make a pop song about Cocaine.
Blinding Lights sonically sounds nothing like a hit from the 2010s at all. Even if it was Firework Tier music as you’re describing, how does that make it not good? It seems like you just hate anything that’s popular and gets tons of radio play which is ironic because you like Drake hits lol
Lil Wayne was 36 when the carter 5 dropped and there’s not one dad song on there
And he’s the best rapper alive
The self quote to get a top of page post is crazy
Lil Wayne was 36 when the carter 5 dropped and there’s not one dad song on there
And he’s the best rapper alive
Weeknd the laughing stock of white girls rn too. Twitter been litting him up since that disaster of a show he tried to do
Do you guys just hear what you want to hear ? It was a personal attack
He talked about who drake should be f***ing who his friends should be. Saying that people need to let go of drake. He always had a deep weird drake hatred too despite liking some music . Whole podcast been taking shots and hoping for drake to fall off (he’s admitted this)
I’ve been watching the Pod since 2017 I’ve never felt like they ever hoped for Drake to fall off, especially the new lineup. They talk about Drake like he is already the Goat and in an entire different lane. They talked about waiting for Drake to drop for a while even during his “rap beef” wit Drake he big’d him up on the pod. And have done favorable breakdowns for his new music, s*** even breakdowns on the shots he threw at Joe.
Even before the podcast Joe has been a supporter of Drake, everyone knows that one video with them chopping it up but it here are multiple videos of him promoting his music. The only other rapper I’ve seen them hold to this high of a regard is Jay.
Now maybe from Drake’s perspective he sees that as fake love idk but I don’t think any of what Joe said warrants this nigga to start going Manic on IG like he’s Nicki Minaj.

What happened?
Lil Wayne was 36 when the carter 5 dropped and there’s not one dad song on there

Nah I’m not hating on it because it got the play. Obviously rap hits are different and when we talk about MJ (someone else brought him up) I feel like his hits had a lot more soul to it than just being purely gentrified pop.
Im not even saying it makes the songs bad either, there’s a time and place for it, Firework and Dynamite and Blindinf lights are good pop songs for what they are, but that “epic pop” sound doesn’t appeal to me at all, the music just comes off bland and corporate and soulless to me, it’s Blueprint 3 tier music where the majority of the time I don’t wanna hear someone singing like that
Which is crazy because at 40 Joe proposed to 24 year old Cyn
Joe the last one to talk but he wanted a big headline grabbing rant which he got.
If anything he’s spewing from a place of experience
he was the same age as Drake when f***ing with Cyn. His new girl is in her mid to late 30s

100% true. They even championed Scopion and CLB. They all were Drake stans (the original lineup with Rory and Mal) Budden even said that he was wrong about Views on one of the episodes as well.

not for nothing but that song is in Sing 2 it translates to normal approachable pop music just as well

I’m not putting Blinding Lights with those songs because sonically there’s just much more to offer. Fireworks is actually a great pop record too. Dynamite is a joke and for you to put it next to Blinding Lights is insane to me. It’s not even a gentrified pop song like that. It sounds totally different than those songs you’re saying.
