People always cite "streaming" as if it detracts from the success of a song. Back then if you wanted to hear a song it was way more convenient to buy for most of us. Now its more convenient to stream so its what people do. "oh this song would have been way bigger if it was released today" well yeah obviously the number of people who listen to music increases every year.
