U ever listen to majid jordan? Cuz ur tryna give Ye credit for a style drake got from them. That’s really what we’re talking about, not Ye doing co production
after you admit he was a producer on the song you I’ll answer your question
Feel no ways was a jordan beat. Wtf r u on. He also did it with Hold On you’re going home. When ye ever get on sm s*** like that?
it’s important to admit when you are wrong
it helps you develop
The people that say he making the worst music and s*** like that u right about, I'm just saying not every criticism is false about him.
Never said every criticism against him was false. I criticize him myself sometimes so I get that.
It's just that people love to pretend he's out here making the worst music possible when the opposite is actually what's true. He's just been so good for so long that people now take it for granted.
I could go on. He delayed CLB 9 months but it was "rushed". Drake is a fake mob boss but he sent goons to attack Pusha T, Joe Budden and killed X. He uses other artists but gives them their biggest songs. Drake is bullying Abel but they're celebrating together. His albums are trash but everyone keeps coming back for more. I can't even keep track of the narratives anymore
They never add up because they never make any sense
you mentioning feel no ways and saying he is on ye level is the whole joke
that’s a ye beat & something drake would normally never get on
if he had ye ear for production then maybe he could be
Jordan Ullman made that beat first and Ye and 40 are only additional producers for adding drums. I'm sick of no one giving Jordan credit for that beat
Take Care is some of the artsiest rap/rnb record ever ppl rly just be saying s*** to say it. There’s like 3-4 songs on there that were NOT groundbreaking out of 20
thats ONE record my guy we're talking about drake as an overall artist
and even then I wouldn't call it "artsier" than frank/ye's best work if thats what you want to make this about

even worse if he doesnt just care about numbers because it means hes trying to make a classic album and cant lol
granted CLB was pretty good but its nowhere near his best work
As a fan of Drake, I feel like he doesn’t really try to be creative especially the last few years and that’s what makes music fans think he’s “basic”
This being said Drake at his peak is an amazing rapper and songwriter his songs are catchy and fun and he def has at least 2 classics
These suck tho except for Little Bit
None of it even matters because all of them still listen to Drake religiously now like they did then. The only difference is that it's now cool to act like you don't f*** with Drake's music in public, while you listen to it religiously in the privacy of your home/car.
Not hard to believe some people don’t actually like Drake’s music…
He's struggling atm, but he just needs help with the vision. Get me and Cordova in a room with Drake and I promise you he's making transcendental music that nobody can deny
The issue with Drake, he didn’t make any good conceptual album or theme album that stick to culture compare to like Kanye or Frank ocean. Those two guy have a story to tell that people could related to them. Drake didn’t bring any story that relatable to people. He didn’t bring anything to culture that he could influence any of them. He basically just biting the sound Kanye album 808 heart break last 10 year along with Big Sean flow. Please don’t bring bs number or stream sale because that number is bullshit. Platform is Spotify is own by universal music group that mean any number release could manipulate and be pay along with radio play by his past label. If you take out all the number and his hit, what the Drake bring to the table for the culture? What he created that could influence to everyone ?
It takes a certain level of cultural knowledge and musical intelligence to understand tooosie slide sonically

Simplistic ass take. You can not like Drake but you gotta broaden your horizons if you actually think he's "biting the sound Kanye album 808 heart break last 10 year along with Big Sean flow". Post reads like someone who hasn't left the Kanye/Frank Ocean nest enough
I’ll echo other people here and say Drake’s raw talent, his ear for what will work, his ability to rap and do a pop hook, is pretty much unmatched. Not sure what style he can’t do atp. But he’s never made a bold album like dark fantasy, Yeezus, etc, and it seems like he stopped trying to push himself around nothing was the same or if you’re reading this. I definitely think he has the capacity to be talked about like Frank or Kanye but his projects have been weak for a while. I’d love to see him get weird and do a whole album of like, meshing Jai Paul type samples with his dancehall s*** with his bars or do a whole fleshed Passionfruit/Hold On We’re Going Home record, but it’s been a minute since he impressed anyone outside of his sales figures and ticket sales.
