I don’t understand why they started going towards the “disorganized and sporadic” album release strategy
I call it a strategy because there’s no way in hell they do this accidentally. It’s become a way they release albums now.
I really miss the classic rollouts, knowing the dates, getting singles and some visuals and merch. It made it such an event. Hopefully they clarify soon
Spot on. I also miss innovation, creativity, uniqueness & atmosphere within every single one of his rollouts. In todays day and age basically any type of rollout would be possible to pull off. I think Ye's MBDTF and DONDA are great examples, the GOOD friday’s and the listening parties (albeit them being super messy) were amazing memories that will forever be engrained in my memory as some of the greatest rollouts. There’s probably a lot more examples for this but sadly i can’t think of any rn.
Drake could easily pull off something like this but still chooses to follow some weird ass cycle of announcing and rescheduling album releases over that. Scorpion was great but rather classic so nothing to get all too excited about, even though i’d still take that over anything else we’ve gotten the past releases. Pisses me off when i think abt it lowkey

Yep. Same brand I was thinking too. Remember all kinds of strip malls had this “big dog” store. Lots of corny type graphics tees and stuff like this one he wore
I got two Big Dog tees from the thrift couple years ago, wear them all the time
